About The Foundation
The Delta Gamma Foundation fosters lifetime enrichment for members, promotes Service for Sight and partners with the Fraternity to ensure the future of our sisterhood. Dedicated members and friends make this mission possible through philanthropy, service and generous gifts which support the Foundation’s three signature programs: Service for Sight, Grants to the Fraternity for Leadership and Educational Programming and Grants to Individual Members.
Two Organizations, One Delta Gamma:
We are one Delta Gamma, but in accordance with Internal Revenue Code, the Foundation and Fraternity are two separate organizations. In 1951, the Delta Gamma Foundation was formed as a complement to the Fraternity, creating a vehicle for members to promote the educational interests and social responsibility referenced in Article II of the Fraternity Constitution. Each entity offers unique opportunities for our members to “Do Good.” To see how we are living out this motto, view the most recent annual impact report and 990 Report.
The Foundation is governed by the Delta Gamma Foundation Constitution and Articles of Incorporation, the Convention and the Foundation Board of Trustees.
Make a gift to the Delta Gamma Foundation to support our three signature programs.

At the Alpha Lambda chapter, our fall philanthropy event, Anchor Splash, is one of the more unique ones on campus. As well as being one of the more anticipated events of the semester in the FLS community. Throughout the week we table on campus and sell T-shirts and tickets to DG desserts (all you can eat sweets!) and Anchor Splash. What is Anchor Splash you may ask? Well, teams of Delta Gamma coaches are paired with other FSL chapters to create a synchronized swim routine. That's right, a synchronized swim routine! In the past we've had routines to the theme of Lady Gaga, Superheroes, Mamma Mia and even Spongebob Squarepants! Creativity and teamwork are key! Included in that nights events are races like the medley relay, "Save a DG" and the "T-shirt Race". The most important part and reason for all these philanthropy events, is the money we raise for our Service for Sight Foundation. Last Fall, we raised over $1000 for Service for Sight. Every year we aim higher. Have any questions about Alpha Lambda specific philanthropy? Contact our Director of Anchor Splash and Anchor Slam, Elise Ambler at elise.ambler@drake.edu
