Recruitment Events

Formal Recruitment is scheduled for September 8-12, 2021. There are four separate days for recruitment: Sisterhood Night, Panhellenic Night, Preference Day, and Bid Day. Recruitment is a mutual selection process. Each Potential New Member (PNM) will be put into recruitment groups with women from your residence hall. The group will be facilitated by a Recruitment Counselor, who is a disaffiliated sorority woman.

If you are interested in registering for Formal Recruitment and learning more about Sorority life, please visit Drake's Fraternity and Sorority website.

Below you can find an approximate schedule for this year's recruitment:

Philanthropy Night: Tonight PNMs will be able to interact personally with the members of Drake's five sororities. PNMs will speak to women one-on-one, with topics generally including why they chose Drake, what they did in high school, why they are interested in joining a sorority etc. All chapters will also give a presentation on their service organization or benefactor of their philanthropy.

Sisterhood Night: PNMs will be able to visit up to four chapters tonight. They will receive tours of the chapter homes and learn about the chapters' membership expectations. Finances, housing, sisterhood, service, and scholastics of the chapter are all topics of discussion tonight.

Preference Day: Today PNMs will visit up to two chapters. They will be able to talk more in-depth with members about their sorority experience and why their chapter is so important to them, as well as attend a special ceremony that is unique to each chapter.

Bid Day: Today PNMs join their new chapter! If they receive a bid from a chapter, they join them that afternoon for pictures and a fun activity with your new sisters!
